“ This place was amazing! I'm a huge weeb and it was really fun experiencing a revolving sushi lace for the first time! It was also my first time trying raw fish, which was way better than I thought. (I had about 4 plates) Service was amazing, if you order ramen or drinks it comes on a cute little robot. The vibe of the restaurant feels more Japanese themed, and they play Japanese music! Overall this place gave more than food, as it gave a great and fun experience. I'll definitely come back! ”
“ This place just keeps getting better and better. I stopped back in today, had a great server named Tanara, and FINALLY took some great photos. Enjoy! ”
“ Fun kitschy sushi restaurant in Hyde Park! We went with some friends and a had a good time. Restaurant is very clean and modern with good human and robot service. Next to your table is the conveyer belt full of different sushi and sashimi dishes among some appetizer and desserts. You can grab off the conveyer belt or order off an iPad at the table. They have other dishes like ramen, fried rice, ice cream, but we were here for sushi. Not the best sushi in town, but it made for a fun evening with friends! Payment is also straightforward. You keep the lids of each dish and the waiters count that at the end to calculate your bill. ”
“ Kawa Revolving Sushi is a fun and unique experience to come to the Cincy sushi scene. I have now visited twice and had a delicious and fun experience both times. Your table is immediately next to the sushi conveyor belt. You can then choose whatever plates you want off of the belt, and they count the lids to tally up your bill. You can also order from the tablet at the table. A robot will bring the drinks. Trains and trucks run on a separate track above the conveyor belt to bring the menu items. We enjoyed all of the sushi that we tried. We also ordered chicken katsu and fried Oreos. The chicken katsu is a nice menu item for people who aren't huge sushi fans. The fried Oreos topped off our meal! ”
“ I have just feasted like it was sushi thanksgiving! I think i tried half the menu and it was soooo good! This is a very clean resturant. As the food travels by on the revoking track, each dish is covered with a lid. Specialty items are quickly and easily ordered on your personal Home Screen. Then it is delivered by a cute train or other food tram. I can't wait to come back! ”
“ We came to Kawa to try it for the first time for dinner and it was a great experience! The revolving sushi concept is so neat & fun- and the portions are perfect for getting to try a lot of different things! The sushi was fresh and tasted amazing- and the dessert was also great! I am looking forward to coming back already! The vibes in here are really fun and unique! ”
“ Here I was thinking I would be the first one to review but I forgot to submit the draft so let's just take that part away. We came shortly after their grand opening and we had high hopes as we have enjoyed the Kura place in Columbus that has a similar vibe. This place is different of course but they are definitely trying to keep that certain vibe going! You can either pick up stuff off the conveyor belt or you can order on the tablets at the table and it will come out in these varying designs of trains. Really cool! One time we came between lunch and dinner and the sushi did not taste great. Probably because we were between the rush and some of the stuff had been out for a while. But we came during dinner another time and everything tasted great. I feel like the price is good for what you get. I used to go to a revolving sushi place back on the West Coast a lot 10 years ago and even though prices are higher, so is everything else. Definitely a good meal and a lot of fun! All the maid to order stuff is pretty good as well including the desserts. Service is always top-notch as everyone wants to refill your water and make sure you are well taken care of. ”
“ I've been wanting Cincinnati to have a revolving sushi place for years, so I was so excited to hear that Kawa was opening! If you've never been to revolving sushi before, dishes come around on the conveyor belt, and you choose what you want. They have raw sushi, cooked sushi, salads, desserts, ginger, and more on the belt, and each item is around $3.25. You have the option to also order any drinks, special sushi, ramen, desserts, and more on the iPad at your table. Then either the adorable robot waiter or the train will bring it right to your table. At the end, they add up all your plates for the final bill. Overall, the food was really good. I liked the sushi the best, but it was nothing super special. The ramen was just ok in my opinion. Things were all reasonably priced as well. With all the automation, it really felt like dinner and a show! I can't wait to come back, I'd highly recommend if you want a unique lunch/dinner spot. ”
“ It was a super neat place and can get expensive for what you get. I got 16 plates and it's less than 3.00 a plate. I was full as I tried different kinds of sushi. If you order from the menu it will arrive via train and drinks and the ramen will come by the robot. It's a neat place to eat. Service was excellent as the explained how everything works and to keep your lid for them to tally up your bill. The food is what you somewhat expect. Not a high end sushi shop but better than the Chinese buffet sushi. Items that were sashimi, the rice fell apart when dipping the fish in the soy sauce. Not a big deal but it gets a little messy and that is the 1 less star. I would go back since I cannot get what I get here without buying a roll and the variation of the different types of sushi. ”
